Weekly Update: June 27

Happy summer holidays everyone!! It's hard to believe we've already come to the end of the year.

This week, students had a fantastic activity day on Tuesday! We first got to go through Fitset Ninja, a wonderful obstacle course with a variety of stations. For lunch, students ordered hot dogs or veggie burgers from a food truck. Then students spent the entire afternoon in various activities outside, such as olympic games (hurdles, long jump, etc.), volleyball, spike ball, basketball and four square. On Wednesday, all students celebrated our grade 6s at a farewell assembly.

In class, students completed an independent research project on a topic of their choice. They had to create a google slideshow presentation, and presented their topic to the class today. We learned about speed cubing, red pandas, sharks, pizza and the history of cake! We also created our own tessellation for a final math art project.

It has been an absolute pleasure teaching your child this year. We have built a strong and wonderful classroom community, and I will miss each and every one of them. Thank you for all your support over the entire year. I hope you have a fantastic summer holiday, and I look forward to seeing everyone returning to Ramsay again in the fall!
